I think if I knew I could have just one bike, that was not going on any overnight tours, this might be it. Compare this to a Steelman. Or in some cases even a Serotta. This is a “do-it-all” road bike from a company who does not serve any bike in a “good/ better/ best” scale. You could even race this bike. But maybe you have a dedicated race bike already…and you have a mountain bike…and maybe even a dedicated touring bike. So now you want that bike that you would ride on the days when you would not take out your Cervelo or Felt racer. And you don’t want the heft of a touring bike. This is that bike.
