‘Pedal Power Redefined’ – Giant have a range of Hybrid bikes that are the next step in power-assisted riding. Wired Magazine says ‘For modern aesthetes, aspiring eco-enthusiastic commuters and folks who crave the fun of bike riding without doing much work, Giant’s Twist Freedom DX hits the mark.’ You can read more of their review here These are not electric bikes. They do not have a motor that you switch on and powers you along while you sit and take in the view.

These bikes do have a unique power-assisted system – PedalPlus – that takes in your pedal stroke and power output then seamlessly smoothes out any erratic power curve using their I2 Driver Unit and gives you the smoothest ride of you life. Their two lithium ion batteries are 1/3 the weight of traditional batteries and fit neatly into two rear pannier bags. They have a range of 70 miles and should you ever run out of power, just keep peddling like a regular bicycle without any hitches.
